Boston in Spring
Each spring, Boston comes alive as flowering trees burst into bloom, with cherry blossoms and gorgeous magnolias taking center stage. It makes for a beautiful walk or a peaceful afternoon for the family. Below are my top places for you to visit in the city. Before you visit, take a quick look at current conditions—the bloom schedule can vary from year to year, and it’ll help you plan your trip so that you can make the most of it.
Commonwealth Avenue
This street was designed in a French Boulevard style, surrounded by the historical brownstones that makes for a picturesque walk in the city.
Boston Public Garden
If you want to relax and take in the city views, I recommend you head over to the Public Garden. Here you will be surrounded by the city while getting to experience the calming nature of a beautiful spring day at a park.
Charles River Walk
Beautiful flowers with the view of the Charles River, need I say more? This is about a 20 mile pathway that gives you both views of the river and Boston's skyline. One note for this location is that the trees tend to bloom later in the season compared to the more inland locations. This is due to it being a little colder as a result of its proximity to the water. I recommend checking the weather and the year's blooming schedule before making the trip.
